eBay help! How can I tell if I already purchased an item?

I cannot tell because my brother set up an account for my dad and he entered this credit card information but he said it did not go through. And since I wasn’t there, I’m very unsure about what is going on and my dad’s just clueless. I messaged the seller and asked them if the transaction went through, the person told me that there are no record found. So…How can I tell if I’ve already made a purchase? When I go to the front page, it’ll say I need to leave feedback for (1) item. Does this only appear when I’ve already bought it? And when I go back to the item’s main page, the blue button that usually say buy it now no longer say that. It’ll say “buy another” as if I’ve already bought one already. And on the top of it, theres a button that says PAY NOW because my brother clicked committed to buying this item the night before. When I go there it just tells me “Your request could not be processed at this time

and the “view your order details” is a link and when I clicked on it, it shows me the order details like my shipping address and the total. And under payment detail, it says credit card, like what my brother used. So does this necessarily mean that the item has already been paid? If not then how am I suppose to pay for it if the pay now button just takes me here.
