How early in your pregnancy did you start having braxton hicks contractions?

And please I want personal experience not just someone to go google it and come back with their findings because I can easily do that myself. Last night I started getting some painful contractions but they weren’t timed and weren’t getting anymore intense so I didn’t worry about if it was true labor or not, but none the less wasn’t fun. I was curious when you ladies started if ever, experiencing false labor.

Sounds like braxton hicks to me. With my oldest it didn’t start till about 38 weeks, with my youngest they started about 30 weeks. As long as you water doesn’t break and they don’t come often (which I consider more than once to 3 times a week) then I wouldn’t worry. When you are in real labor you should be able to tell. If they become very intense like they stop you in your tracks then I wouldn’t worry. When those start just sit down and do some breathing techniques, they can help out alot

For my first, I went into the hospital at 27 weeks with what I thought was a flu that was compounded by Braxton Hicks … turned out to be real labour. Fortunately, they were able to stop it.

Braxton Hicks can be quite painful, but they can also be pretty tricky, so if you’re in doubt, don’t hesitate to contact the hospital … best safe than sorry.

Yeah the midwife said not to worry and some women just get them a lot. She said if they start to be able to be timed or start to get more intense progressively then i’m in labor. I’m certainly getting to practice my deep breathing techniques though haha.

I haven’t been worried yet because they don’t continue to get intense, they just are sporadic and stay around the same intensity. Also taking a warm bath and drinking a glass of water has helped to stop them pretty quick.
