dying hair

Okay, I wanna dye my hair.. But.. one problem.. My hair is black, and I want to get it to like a whitish blonde. I have about 2 inch light brown roots, which just makes it harder to complete this task. I cant even dye my hair brown b/c it turns my roots orange for whatever reason, and the other half of my hair stays black.

So.. I guess im just wondering, if anyone knows a way to do it at home, without turning it blonde. Please dont tell me anything, you dont KNOW will work. Just stuff, you have done to your hair, or know someone who has. I would get it dyed but the hair dresser said it would take 6-7 times, and I dont have the money for that. Thanks!

I have dyed my hair black for many years and have wanted to dye it a lighter colour but couldn’t. I wanted to go green and purple but because of my black dye it wouldn’t go through. My Mum was a hairdresser for many years so she knows what she’s talking about when it comes to hair and hair dye.

What you need to do is stop dying your hair black. Just let it grow out and let your natural colour grow back. It will look like horrible roots for abit but once your hair has started to grow and the black has grown out you will be able to dye your hair whatever colour you wish.

By getting it from black to whatever colour will take a lot of effort and money! And will ruin your hair for sure. Once your healthy new hair has grown back and the black has gone and faded, you will be able to dye your hair blonde in one go.

You won’t get this blonde hair very soon but it will be worth it to have blonde healthy hair than fizzy hard hair by not being patient.

Don’t do this yourself. Please. If you try this on your own you have a good chance of your hair turning really brittle or even falling out.

It is even tough for a professional to do. My stylist tried it and it turned green. I also have really dark hair. I would take several bleaching processes from a professional to achieve this look.

my cousin works in a loreal color testing lab and shes always telling stories about girls who lie and say they dont dye their hair but when she uses bleach on their hair it sometimes breaks right off in her hand and they leave with no hair. so if I were you I wouldnt do it lol
