Dropping out of high school

Ok im planning on dropping out of high school for specific reasons, but plan on getting my ged after I drop out, and still going to college, so dont judge me for that. But the question is… Do you get a withdrawl letter from your high school when you drop out?

Answer #1

Oh, apparently I was wrong. Yay me.

Answer #2

If I remember correctly you get nothing. I had to help a friend of mine get into Job Corps after being out of high school for 3 years (dropped out due to pregnancy). Went in empty handed.

Better off staying in high school, though. A lot of employers will look at the GED think of you as a quitter (college degree or not). If somebody has a high school diploma and a college degree they’ll get chosen before you. You’re better off staying in. I hated school and failed my way through but I still graduated with my class because I didn’t want to be a complete failure.
