Do you know what psychological perspective means?

I have to do a journal for homework in psychology class and I have to write what psychological perspective interest me the most and I’m trying to understand what that means. I searched the web and didn’t find anything. I just started psychology class so I need alittle help, thanks

Having a psychological perspective is like looking at behaviors clinically instead of judgmentally.

For example, A person cutting themselves is obviously caused by some deep rooted trauma and/or emotions or a medical condition of the brain instead of saying the person is doing it just for attention or because they are sad.

Ok I’ve been trying to rephrase this without using perspective in the explanation but im not getting anywhere, this is basically what set of theories do you find the most interesting… freudian/psychodynamic, behaviorist, cognitive, biological, evolutionary, humanist etc etc… its pretty simple, just state which one you like and what exactly you like about that point of view…
