Yes, you have to be online to play WoW. It’s a MMORPG, which basically means that a LOT of people play it and interact at the same time. In order for this to happen, you need an internet connection! You also need to choose a server (called “realms”) in WoW. To play, you must connect to the server. That way, you can interact with other people in the game.
