Do you believe in god?

If you don’t then why do you use money …every single bill in this country have the word god written on it but yet half of you don’t even believe in him.y’all use this money with his holy name on it to do all sorts of bad things. And you wonder why the economy is so bad…guess what its only going to get worst everyday . Don’t use god’s name in vain you will feel it.

Just wondering!!! Please no cursing it was just a thought

Yes I believe in are MAKER and Money is part of Life we must have it to survive at this time,it was put into are Brains to invent for a reason, the Government is the cause of the Spirtiuality confusion and ones that don’t believe, but I find it hard to believe that people that don’t believe in are MAKER is because that don’t won’t to because they have to work at it,I know everyone knows we just didn’t pop up out of the blue thin air.

Answer #2

I know everyone knows we just didn’t pop up out of the blue thin air.

Nope, but APPARENTLY god did.

Answer #4

I used to keep a Sharpie handy to cross the “In God We Trust” off of every bill that passed my hands. It was interesing occasionally I would see one of my bills make it back to me. Sometimes I saw bills other people improved. Some just had “God” scratched out with a ball point pen; some inserted an “l” in to make it “In Gold We Trust.” Some removed God with a hole punch. One I particularly liked had the motto crossed out and underneath written “Secularized for your protection.”

Yes, I’m an atheist and I use American currency with the religious motto and all. I guess I could ask Christians if they celebrate Christmas. Christmas after all is is a pagan holiday thinly veiled as a Christian one. Most of the traditions come from Saturnalia. I sure hope Christians never say “By Jove!” Jove is another name for the pagan god Jupiter. “By Jove” is basically swearing to Jupiter that what someone is saying is true.

Answer #5

you believe in god then good for you but why do you feel its your job to tell nonchristians what they should do. you have no right to tell anyone they should believe in something just as much as I dont have the right to tell you you shouldnt believe in god. why do you think its ok to talk down to anyone. isnt that at sin. arent you being judgmental. some christian you are, huh?

I dont have a problem with christians, or any believer of any other religion but I do have a problem when they think that their religion and beliefs are the only ones that matter.

why dont you worry about yourself and obeying your precious god. and let us non-believers do as we chose.

money is something that everyone has to have to survive. I could not care less what is written on it as long as it get the job done. money was meant to be used by everyone so that this world may function properly. and how much a person believes or doesnt believe doesnt effect the economy. ha. I really am quite surprised by the level of stupidity some of these questions fall under. and this one is way up there. get a life. better yet, let people live thiers.

Answer #6

Wait for what? Perhaps you can be specific about event, date, and time, and then we can all be amazed at your talent for prophecy.

Answer #7

WOW…KK …JUST WAIT FOR IT. ITS COMING.

Answer #8

well do they make dollar bills that say in GODDESS we trust? no? then thats why dumb A$$

Answer #9

There’s no God on Canadian money…

Besides, people are a little smarter than that. They aren’t going to stop using money because of a little phrase on it…although, I’m sure some of the God-fearing people such as yourself would probably die from shock if a bill was ever printed without that phrase…what would YOU do? Stop using money?

Answer #10

I’m sorry, I don’t quite see the connection. Why should the presence of a religious phrase prevent us from using (US) money? Presumably by that reasoning, you should refuse to ride in buses that have non-theist ads on them, and young earth creationists should refuse to handle the 10 pound bill (which has a picture of Charles Darwin on it).

Answer #11

I would think if there are any gods, they would be offended that their name is used in such a crass and frivolous manner as to have it imprinted on the money supply.

Perhaps you need to beg forgiveness from your god for such disrespectful action on the part of believers.

Answer #12

If you don’t then why do you use money …every single bill in this country have the word god written on it but yet half of you don’t even believe in him.

They’ll remove it eventually… because its un-American. Just like the pledge of allegiance.

y’all use this money with his holy name on it to do all sorts of bad things.

Riiight… only Atheists do bad things with money. You don’t even KNOW God’s name… idiot…

Answer #13

hahahaaha what an idiot. are you serious. I dont give a sh*t. it doesnt say anywhere that only people who believe in god should use money. what BS. lol. you couldnt think of anything better to argue about. ha you really do make me laugh. you should be embarrassed of your ignorance.

Answer #14

Y’ALL ARE DUMB…YA JUST DON’T GET WHAT I AM SAYING. FORGET IT. WASTE OF MY TIME. AND YES I AM A CHRISTIAN BUT I DON’T FORCE RELIGION IN PEOPLE’S HEADS. ALL CHRISTIANS ARE NOT THE SAME …AND NO I AM NOT TELLING YOU WHAT TO DO . ITS YOUR CHOICE. I WAS JUST BRING A THOUGHT. DANMMM PEOPLE . ITS NOT THAT SERIOUS. IN THE US PEOPLE ARE SO QUICK TO DEFEND THAT THEIR IS NO GOD. I HAVE WENT TO A LOT OF COUNTRIES AND THE US IS THE ONLY ONE WHERE A LOT OF PEOPLE DON’T BELIEVE. BUT YET Y’ALL WANNA BELIEVE EVERYTHING THAT A SCIENTIST SAYS. BUT ONE DAY Y’ALL GONNA SEE JUST REMEMBER ME WHEN Y’ALL DO .

Answer #15

Y’ALL ARE DUMB…

We’re not the one writing in all-caps.

I HAVE WENT TO A LOT OF COUNTRIES AND THE US IS THE ONLY ONE WHERE A LOT OF PEOPLE DON’T BELIEVE.

Really? Funny, because the US is one of the most reliigous western countries.

BUT YET Y’ALL WANNA BELIEVE EVERYTHING THAT A SCIENTIST SAYS.

Yeah, those damn scientists. It’s not like they invented or discovered everything we use in the modern world. Oh, wait…

Answer #16

No I do not believe in god, there is just too much evil in the world and too much torment for me to believe there is an all giving god.

Answer #17

What does money have to do with God? I’ve never seen a bill with the word God written on it…I’m from Britain so I’m not sure if God is written on the bills over here.

I’m an Atheist by the way.

Answer #18

U.S currency reads “in god we trust” and that has NOTHING to do with a bad economy…wow, seriously. The bad economy is from terrible spending, too much spending and most of the fortune 500 companys…lmao.

Answer #19

I use money because otherwise I would starve because I wouldn’t be able to get food I don’t care what it says as long as I get the stuff I need

Answer #20

um, we didn’t choose to have in god we trust on our bills, the christians in congress did, and as usual, christians feel they need to push their religion onto other people. in fact, I think they should take that off, since this nation was founded under freedom of religion. that being said, I’m a christian, and I do believe that people are misusing what god has given them

Answer #21

SO YOU DON’T BELIEVE IN GOD. ITS NOT YOUR FAULT THOUGH.

Answer #22

@althea4life: So you’re judging that they sinned - specifically “passing judgement on others” - thus committing the same sin yourself, by your standards.

Answer #23

arachnid

You’re asserting that someone did wrong. That sounds like judgement to me

judgment or judging someone is not asserting that someone did wrong.

but ‘The act of judging’ is judgement. judging someone of what they did wrong is judgement

Answer #24

you do realise that the “God” in the phrase actually refers to a non-religious, deist god, not the Judeo-Christian one, right?

Answer #25

I’m pretty much an athiest, although I’m only 16 so I haven’t had much of a chance to experience miracles (: You have a made a slightly silly point about bank notes having ‘God’ printed on them. You have to use money in today’s society and the majority of people have no say whatsoever about what is printed on the bank notes… However, I am from Britan and I don’t even think ‘God’ is printed on our notes, but I just thought I’d express my point of view (:

Answer #26

your a christian right???

how could you say such bias things…

THINK..before you speak.

your randomly start to JUDGE and ACCUSE people of doing something, when you dont even know. your completely ignorant to your own statement.

you ASSUME, JUDGE, ACCUSE. totally not the compassionate christian loving thing to do.

our Father is not proud. ask the Lord for forgiveness sister…

Answer #27

our Father is not proud. ask the Lord for forgiveness sister…

Wait, isn’t that you passing judgement, the very thing you’re condemning in the previous paragraph?

Answer #28

IN THE US PEOPLE ARE SO QUICK TO DEFEND THAT THEIR IS NO GOD.

Because Christians are so quick to judge others.

I HAVE WENT TO A LOT OF COUNTRIES AND THE US IS THE ONLY ONE WHERE A LOT OF PEOPLE DON’T BELIEVE

WRONG, the continent with the least religious people is actually Europe, not the US, you obviously haven’t been in a lot of places then.

If you don’t then why do you use money …every single bill in this country have the word god written on it but yet half of you don’t even believe in him.y’all use this money with his holy name on it to do all sorts of bad things.

This question doesn’t make any sense and you ARE judging people. I don’t see the point of it, except to try (a pathetic attempt) to some how indicate that your religion is better than others because someone decided to include your god in a bill. Oh and not every country’s bills do have those words written on it.

And you wonder why the economy is so bad…guess what its only going to get worst everyday .

Because non-Christians uses money? Do you realise what an IDIOT you just made yourself look like. There is a recessions because too much credit was given to people etc etc…GO READ THE FINANCIAL NEWS

Don’t use god’s name in vain you will feel it.

Don’t worry, I won’t, I don’t want to be associated with him at all…

Answer #29

Considering how much corruption can be involved in the accumulation and use of money (just look at politics) it seems like HAVING God’s name on it is a violation of the commandment not to take his name in vain. We are also probably taking his name in vain by putting in on bumper stickers and underwear. God’s name becomes trivial when it is attached to materialism (money).

Answer #30

I think you are trying to say that people who use US money must really believe in God even though they say they don’t. I don’t recall being asked if I wanted God’s name on my money, and since it is the only thing available in the US for me to trade with (for necessary items like food, housing, clothing) that is why I use it. I would still spend it if it said in Zeus we trust, and I don’t believe in him either.

Answer #31

arachnid— Wait, isn’t that you passing judgement, the very thing you’re condemning in the previous paragraph?

how is that passing judgement??? does not the bible say ( which is the source of why I say what I say), that judging others and making false accusations (lying) a sin???

isnt that what she is doing?? accusing and making false accusations of the reason why you use money???

how am I passing judgement? I know she sinned, it says so clearly in the scripture. asking for forgiveness would not hurt her.

and obviously, if she is going against what God’s will is (what he wishes we do) he’s not going to be happy or proud. the exact opposite. not happy or proud.

our Father is not proud. ask the Lord for forgiveness sister…

Answer #32

how am I passing judgement? I know she sinned, it says so clearly in the scripture. asking for forgiveness would not hurt her.

You’re asserting that someone did wrong. That sounds like judgement to me.
