Do Sunni Muslims hate Americans like Shi'ites do?

your history teacher said that? well your history teacher has a very narrow view to a complicated issue. although given the government leaders can barely keep it straight, one can hardly blame your teacher. Now I dont know what religious beliefs each group ascribes to, politics is not my area of expertise. However, it is more complicated than sunni=good, shiite=bad… When your s/he said the shia attacked, s/he meant Al Qaeda (and Bin Laden), who brought down the towers were shia… however, dont be mistaken, the sunni groups do their own damage too…

And again, most of the middle east, pakistan, parts of north africa, not thrilled with the U.S… Sunni and Shiite alike…

Hmm generalize much? Exactly where are you talking about? In Iraq? And in general, most muslims in the middle east arent thrilled about the fact that the U.S. is acting as world police… although most of the world isnt too thrilled about it either… and from what I know Hamas is sunni…

No they are not. The majority of muslims in the US are sunni and there are also shi’ites living in the US. Its part of the muslim religion to respect all cultures even if they may differ from islam. The minority of muslims that hate the Us tend to be extremists, and remember, some extremists are just a type of cult that just twist words from the religion and use them to their advantage.
