not really, unless it was an expensive leather corsette that flattens and tightens, making you almost unable to breath othgerwise they just go around your normal body shape and yes, they are noticable, especially under t-shirts if you want your stoomatch to look flatter then a corsette isnt for you try a body slimming pair of undies that go up your stomatch that will pull int in and flattern in you can find body slimming things at your mall, in places like target, kmart, or wallmart, ect
