Did Tom lying about his age on MySpace set a bad example?

For many years, Tom Anderson, the famous co-founder of MySpace, lied about his age on his profile…then years later (post acquisition by news corp) it was made a major story, etc. I’ve never lied about my age here…should I have, to get more press coverage, as that’s what Tom did.

OR do you think it sets the wrong tone for a site when one of it’s founders lies?

Answer #1

I don’t think his age had much to do with the success of his website but also I hate liars.

Answer #2

I don’t see the point of him lying about it…

Answer #3

How old is he really then??

Answer #4

Age is just a number

Im sure his age had NOTHING to do with the MILLIONS of users that his website has.

Just like if you lied about your age I doubt anyone would care because here its the WEBSITE that counts (:

Answer #5

I thought questions bout myspace, facebook, ect werent allowed on here. someone make up your mind on these rules

Answer #6

Because the “founder” of a site is a liar, I sincerely doubt it would affect my personal morals…if he lied and got caught…that’s his problem…same goes for anybody else who makes that choice… :)

Answer #7
