did I make the right choice

I switched birth controls the other day from the depo shot to the pill, I did this because I plan on getting pregnant in the next few years and I heard a bunch of bad things about the shot like how it had left a bunch of women not able to concieve and im only 16 and I want kids… well my boyfriend things that im not going to be able to remember to take it and I am but I dont no if I made the right desision to switch… did I

I had a friend who got the shot and it took her 4 years after she went off it to get pregnant. But every woman is different. I’ve heard that sometimes it takes longer…for me it didn’t. As long as you remember to take the pill everyday at the same time then you’ll be fine. And if this is what you want to do then of course you made the right decision.
