Did funadvice get an error?

A couple of hours ago funadvice just completely stopped working. The site wouldn’t load, it just either timed-out or said that the page could not be displayed. What happened? Was it just me who had this problem?

Thanks for the info. I thought I was banned from the site or something…phew! :)

It was a known issue…not just you.

They usually do updates around that time, so it probably caused a problem.

I was unable to even get on the site the WHOLE night after 12:06am,I think I had it worse. I thought I was banned.

So, it was an issue that happened as a result of the update to our counter (eg, the counts were wrong, update, that fixed it…but, we forgot one step).

:) The good news is, we only have ~5K to 7K visitors / hour during that time…so, at most, it was 40,000 people that tried, but failed, to access the site.

On the bright side, we haven’t had that level of “oops…” since Jan, I think, so once every six months isn’t too terrible, right? :)
