Did anyone here quit because of these added taxes ?

When the federal tax on a pack of cigarettes went up almost threefold, the American Cancer Society’s national smoking quit line had about 13 times more calls than on a normal day. “On April 1st, the day of the federal excise tax increase on tobacco products, 131 calls were made to the quit line. Normally, calls per day average 10 to 12,” American Cancer Society spokeswoman Claire Greenwell told AFP - Did anyone here quit because of these added taxes ?

My son quit. One of my friends did also. I guess it was the push they needed.

No. Not yet, anyways. It’s pretty sad someone will spend the same amount of money on a car payment as they do to slowly kill themselves, but hey, It’s my choice. I’m a dumb*ss. ;)
