Deuce

What does ‘deuce’ or ‘deuces’ Really mean??

I looked it up a while ago And in some dictionary it said It meant the devil or whatever or evil.. If so why do people use it when sayin ‘later’ And other stuff?? (atleast thats what I think they are trying To mean it by)

Im confused about this word.

deuce has different meanings

1.Deuce as in tennis term … when both players get the score of 40 2.Latin Deuce refers to the number 2 3.In baseball, a curveball is often referred to as “a deuce”
