How do Doctors know if you're depressed?

When you tell your doctor you think you are depressed, how do they decide weather it is true or not, and how do they decide what medicine is best for you to take, Like, what kind of tests are done?

I think you have to see a therapist or couselor you will give you a test. I believe it DSMV. According to your aswers they will tell you what type of disorder you have. There are many different types of test though..For the record, people who are depressed medically don’t really admit it. it sounds like you may be just worrying about various issues. Talk to someone before you are placed on medication. Fnfinga cool hobbie may be all you really need.
