Are there backups saved of deleted Outlook emails?

first, are deleted emails from outlook left on your hard drive? if so, how can you down load the contents of the hard drive for viewing.

Well if you have the option to automatically back up your emails, they are usually saved as a .pst file.

The folder is by default:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook..
