How do I create an unattended installation script for Windows?

Answer #1

You use a program called nLite for XP http://funadvice.com/r/14l5l3qt81h or vLite for Vista http://funadvice.com/r/14l5l3qt9bb. Doesn’t look like this group has a program out for Win7 tho.

But what you do is copy everything from your XP or Vista CD/DVD to your to a folder. Install nLite or vLite - which every you need to use.

Run nLite/vLite and select the folder you made when you copied everything from your Windows CD/DVD to your computer. Go through the prompts it has until you get to the Task Selection Screen. Here you can turn on Unattended, and what ever other options you want. I would recommend turning on “Bootable ISO” so you create a CD/DVD image file you can then keep on file, and burn to a CD as needed.

Here is some more information on this also. http://funadvice.com/r/3la59vfnef
