Could do with a bit of encouragement.

Hi, I’m going flying on saturday at raf benson as a part of the atc activities. (the grob tutor 115e), and it’s my first time. I’ve never been on a roller coaster as a part of my fear, nor been on a plane before. Infact, this is why I joined air cadets, because at first, I liked the idea of flying! But now, a bit nervous.

All I could do with, is abit of encouragement, because this could then help me get rid of my stupid fear of rollercoasters. So I’ve been trying to hype myself up about it, but there is still that little nervous and anxious little cadet inside me.

Should I really be nervous? I think this is quite a big step in my life, as I am still in a post gad stage (generalised anxiety disorder).

But I’d just love some some good words, and some cool experiences flying.

It is the best thing ever! I so wanna go again! I’ve developed a new passion for flying!! it’s really cool, like google earth but in real time. looking at all the cars and trains below. One I got used to the turbulence it was fine. The best feeling is on take off when you’re rolling down the runway at ful throttle, then you suddenly feel weightless!!

Didn’t do any proper aerobatics thoug, but did a wing over. Pulled 3and a 1/2 Gs! Theb est feeling ever.

I could go on about it for ever but I would just make you really bored! No idea what I was nervous about either. The pilot was really cool too, he let me help him on taking off, and understood everything I had to say. Didn’t get his name though.

But the best time ever.

Everybody’s a bit nervous their first time up, that’s human nature - even your pilot Saturday, LOL - but that will quickly subsideand you’ll be saying to yourself, ‘hey, not so bad at all’ - may be a little loud and take your stomach a little, but enjoy the view…you’ll be fine !! - come back and tell us about it.
