How do you connect the Wii to the computer to play against your relatives and friends in a diiferent town or state?

yes you need a ethernet cable, then it will be a slot in the back of the wii you can hook it up. Now i don’t know if you have to set up online for the wii like xbox or PS3, don’t think so.

Or using wireless. Wii had a built in wireless adapter, so if you have a wireless router you don’t need to run an ethernet cable. Actually I don’t think my Wii even has an ethernet port. Its about 2yrs old so maybe the older ones don’t.

i think you need some kind of code, from the other persons wii, to set it up..as well as being connected to your wireless router, although im online with the wii ive never played anyone else on it, maybe go onto the wii website and find out?
