Complementing eyeshadow colors

Hello funadvice community I have a question that has boggled me for a while. I am mixed..so I have caramel skin w/ light green/golden, sometimes greenblue depending on lighting. But anyhow I feel very limited when it comes to eyeshadow colors. I love bright pigments but I stray away from them because I dont think it’s either going to clash with my skin tone,my eye color, or both! :( I feel like im stuck in the neutrals..blacks,browns,golds,olive greens…but I’m tired of it. So does anyone have any suggestions on to how to liven up my makeup without making me look drag or clownlike m not a hater :]
