College admissions

I’m still a Junior in High school, but I’m looking seriously at a college, well University, called Cornell, over in Ithaca NY. my science teacher says I should get a hold of the financial aid office, the admissions office, and the director of undergraduate studies in Astronomy.

A would just like to know what kind of information I should include in these letters. Anything you can tell me would help. Thanks in advance.

Cornell follows a need-blind admissions policy, which means that we make admissions decisions regardless of an applicant’s financial considerations.

Financial aid at Cornell is based on a family’s demonstrated need. Awards usually include a combination of need-based scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study employment. The university is committed to helping students attend, and we encourage you to apply for aid if you think you may be eligible.

Detailed instructions for applying for financial assistance can be found on the Cornell University Financial Aid site.

If you have specific questions about aid or you would like to request a copy of Cornell’s financial aid brochure, please contact the financial aid office:

Office of Financial Aid and Student Employment Cornell University 203 Day Hall Ithaca, NY 14853-2801 Phone: 607 255-5145 E-mail: cornellu_fin_aid@cornell.edu

Good Luck and God Bless !!
