chickens and apricots

Does it harm chickens to eat apricots? I have heard that it can shut down the egg production. However, ours are just now starting to lay, they were born in March and have just barely started laying maybe 1-2 eggs a day, which is unusual with a flock of almost 28 hens.

Chickens will eat anything. Do you have a apricot tree in your yard?

that is odd. But im happy for ya. Looks like maybe it is healthy for the chickens. Someone probably made it all up. lol
