Cd player for my car aint working?

I just got a car and it didnt come wit a cd player. So I got someone to take the tapeplayer that it came with, out of the car. They hooked up the wires and everything to the cd player but no sound Came out from the speakers. The cd player for the car turned on but no Sound was playing. How you think I could get it to work, cause now I Have no music at all!

Well my guss is to clean the laser on the inside with some accohaul(sorry I suck at spelling) any way use a que-tip. Or you could just take your car to a shop and let a profetional to look at it. And is it used??or new?? are u sure the person knew what that where doing???¿

is it powering on or is it just the cd player not working also check and make sure your speaker wires are pluged up good
