Can cataracts make you go blind?

Because with the cataracts i have my eyesite is getting worse even with my contacts and my sugury is in dec. and i dont want to be blind by then.

Yes. It is a continual clouding of the lense within your eye. Almost, if not actually, scar tissue. However, I know a number of people that had surgery and had their lenses replaced with amazing results.
