Car at age fifteen

Can I get a hardship license at the age of fifteen.

Answer #1

Only if you qualify.

Answer #2

probably not

Answer #3

Well, it depends mostly on where you live. I live in Texas and had to apply for a hardship license, which they grant to teens as young as 14 (that bit of info is as current as 2 years ago - I’m unaware if that has changed since then). BUT, you have to meet a lot of requirements that most do NOT meet - thus the ‘hardship’ license ;D

It’s very difficult to obtain, but it is definitely possible. Some common circumstances throughout states in the U.S. : Your family is dependent upon your driving/transportation (your only living parent - who has sole custody of you- is dying of cancer and is physically unable to drive, for example), you most provide income for your family to meet their basic needs, or you are legally emancipated.

Best of luck!
