Should I shave my arms?

I have really pale skin and ALOT of dark hair on my arms. i have been teased my whole childhood (im 15) and it really hurts. I know how you feel. there are other options. the best thing is laser hair removal (although it can be expensive). its proven to really get rid of your hair forever. think about how awsome that would be!

I’ve been shaving mine since i was like 13, and it never grows back thicker. I went about two years without doing it, and it didn’t look bad at all… If you want to, you can go for it just be careful around your elbows.

I shaved mine, Same thing happened here. I am white and my hair is brown on my arms… I hated it to pieces! I shaved it… Who cares? If it grows back.. shave it again! or bleach them! I have shaved mine so much they have turned blonde, so they can be barly seen!

Don’t listen to them. It’s just hair. Forget what they say. Everyone has it. & like you said it shows up more because it’s brown. & Im assuming you’re white. I use to have the same problem. I have shaved mine once and it grew back thick as he** and it was very unattracitve my ex had said. It’s just hair, ignore your friends.

I have the exact same problem. ime 14, and ime so parinoid about wearing short sleeves!:| I get called a Gorilla and I hate it I cry so much over it and all my friends are or look hairless its so unfair my mum wont let me shave mine!! I want to try veet or nair. not sure though. its ok for everyone else to say ignore them, but its the fact that ime upset with my arms it will never go unless I do something about it. I really need some help or advice, anyone? please xxx

I dont shave my arms and it just seems like a giant hassle to do that. people might say your arms are hairy but then other people will say something like Ew you shave your arms??? I don’t know its just what I’ve heard, I will never shave my arms.

I have the same problem. I am sometimes teesed about it. I have really dark brown hair and eyebrows and dark brown arm hair. I want to shave it but my cousins have told me before that they grow back faster and darker. I don’t know what to do. I could really use some help.

if you shave it, it grows back thick and really really fast. i dont shave mine but i dont have dark hair. its up to you.

Don’t do it my friend does it and when it grows back it hurts when her arm hit ares and it with come in10 times thicker and longer too so please don’t do it unless your gonna shave your arm every day

I shaved my arms for a while and then I regretted it each time I did it. so I let them grow and they are lighter than what they were but they are longer and less noticable. I dont think you should because you will regret it just like I do. hope I helped youu x Cerys x :))) x

I am light skinned and I have long dark hairs on my arms even though I am blonde! its not fair! I want to shave my arms but I will probably try to get them waxed or lazered instead because it lasts longer.I just got to get around my mum…eek!

Anyway I think that you should do whatever you want. If your arms lower your self esteem go ahead and shave them, whatever makes you feel betetr about yourself! But if it is just peer pressure don’t bother, tell them you dont care because you like the way you look!!!

i shave my arms and it doesnt really grow back thicker. if your doing it just b/c guys tell you to, dont. but if it will make you more comfortable with your self then go foe it. hope i helped. Kristin!!!

Most of my GFs were blonde or redheads so their arm hair was light. One brunette GF I had had almost black hair on her arm and decided to bleach it.

When I visited Scandinavia most women didn’t shave their legs. I didn’t mind blonds being a little furry but I have to admit that hairy legs on dark haired women was a little scary.

I started shaving mine in elementary school because a boy made fun of them. i was so self concious about it. i havent stopped doing it because if i let it grow now it will look too thick. i either have to start waxing or continue shaving.
