Can hair dyed black with Feria be dyed lighter w/o consequences?

I just dyed my hair blue-black with Feria. I wanted to dye the underside of my bangs a “natural color” of bright orange-red. I was told that if you dye your hair darker with Feria and then try to lighten it you get some really unpredictable-non-natural colors. Does anyone have any experience doing this? I was hoping to avoid bleaching my hair before dying it so that I don’t damage my hair too much.

Is the Loreal 205 in a box or just a tube you buy? I’m open to trying bleach if it doesn’t ruin my hair.

no colour but black can show up over black black is the darkest colour, and you can only dye hair a darker colour if you want it lighter you need to bleach it first
