Can a female beta be in with a gold fish?
I have a female beta. 3 of my fish just recently died and now there is only one really small gold fish type in a 20 gallon tank. I was just wondering if I could put my female beta in there with my gold fish?
I had a female betta with some goldfish and she ate their fins off.
It depends on the female. Female betta fish have ‘pecking orders’. They fight for their place so unless they are raised from a very young age around other fish they can be very aggressive towards new fish. However, sometimes it depends on the fish itself and they will be submissive and be fine with other fish.
