How to get rid of a callus?

I’m a musician. I’ve had a callus on my finger for the past 15 or so years. Is there any way to get rid of it or make it less noticeable? Does the fact that I’ve had it for so long make it harder to get rid of? Thanks

What type of musician? If you play string instruments it wil be next to impossible to get rid of the calous, also would be ill-advised, as it shields from the painful tension of the strings. however if it is yellow you should get it checked by a doctor. As to remove it if it is bothersome soak it in a foot soap (its rare to find hand soaking soaps) for the recomended time and use a cotton-terry towel to rub it away; or use low grit sand paper (80-below) to grind it away ,being careful not to go too deep.
