Will I get Microsoft repair if I buy an XBox 360 on ebay.com?

ok there are countless amounts of 360s on ebay and craigslist and other places very cheap with the rrod..(red ring of death) my question is that if I buy one can I call microsoft and will they repair it or do they have to have specific information or something…if I couldnt, what information would I need to do this?

Hi,

Probably not. I bought a Dell off of eBay. The sound card was disabled for some reason, and I was on the phone for almost an hour trying to get Dell to help me…they finally did, after charging me money because I wasn’t the registered owner for that service tag, and I didn’t have a technical warranty.

don’t count on technical support!

If your lucky and it has been unregistered, youll get a friggin mint bargain, as 360s are now covered by a 3 year warrenty. If it is registered to someone, it really hard to change, not worth it if you balence up the risks though…
