I wasn’t aware that there were age limitations to buy a lighter in Canada. You can pretty much buy them at any age.
Unless it’s just a law that most people just don’t practice.
i think if there was an age limit that it would be 16. i bought a lighter recently from a local store in my town and it had a sign that said you have to 16.
Yeah, here in the US its kinda like that, some places will sell to minors, other will card you.. I honestly dont think its a law, its just that there arent many uses for a lighter besides smoking & I guess somone would conclude a minor doesnt have any reason for a lighter.
I’m sure you have to be a certain age, I can’t see a little kid being able to walk up & buy a lighter. That would be dangerous.
There is no law against buying lighters at any age in Canada, however (and here’s the trick), you have to be 18 to buy lighter fluid. Most stores won’t make a big deal about it, but it really comes down to store policy.
