How do I burn my movie to a disk?

My friend and I made a movie for a school project and I have it all done with the menu and everything, but when i press burn it says that the disk is not rewritable or something, but i tried a whole buncha brand new disks from a new package of blank CD/DVDs we bought. any suggestions on how i can fix this?

I am not an expert but I will try to help you.

* Perhaps you need a dvd rewritable! Also make sure your burner can burn dvd movies as well and isnt just a cd burner.

* You cant use a regular blank cd for a movie…it should be fine with a dvd disc, but you cant rewrite over it. Once you burn something on it it is done.

* I would seriously get those dvd+-rw(they may be a bit more expensive but so worth it) once you dont need it anymore, you can erase it & put something else on it…now if you think it is not enough space…try to burn it as data rather then video so there is more space.

* Just make sure your reader or dvd player can read the format!!!

what are you using to burn the film as in software?
