Bumps on my vagina that just won't go away!

Please help! I have been shaving my vagina for a long time now, to come to the same problem everytime. I always get bumps, which I know is from the skin being irritated, but sometimes also the bumps tend to turn into ingrown hairs, and then instead of going away, they scar! And for the bumps, it doesn’t seem like they go away either, it just seems like they either turn into ingrown hairs also, or just scar in the same fashion. I don’t mess with or try and pop these bumps or ingrown hairs, I mostly just leave them alone and apply a moisturizer to try and keep myself moisturized, but even that doesn’t work. Do you know the problem, or how I can stop this from happening? It really interferes with wearing a bikini, and all sorts of things like that! My main problem is just trying to keep the bumps from coming and from stopping the scarring, but I just don’t know what to do!

If your pubic hair is especially thick, you could always have this problem regardless of cautions. What about just trimming instead of shaving? Irritated skin is not a pretty sight, and ingrown hairs can turn into huge hurting pimples…

I lay in the tub and shave under the water. First with the same direction of hair growth then when there isn’t much hair left shave the opposite way. All under the water! Then when you get out of the tub, smear the area in either deoderant or neosporin. I’ve been doing this for years and I fixed the red bumbs by doing that.

thanks for the suggestion. :]

Answer #5

I don’t use shaving cream to shave even my legs, I found that using a little bit of shampoo and lathering it up before you shave keeps away the bumps and makes your area smoother.

Answer #6

this is exactly what happens to me . don’t worry, you’re not alone [=

Answer #7

umm you can try a body scrub to get all the died skin off the are.. I use a a nature face scrub 3times a week after I take a bath and I don’t put under wear on just lose feeting shorts so your vagina can breath.. and try not to touchb or pick at because that cause germs and slows the healing of the bumps

Answer #8

When I shave, I just do with as little strokes of my razor possible. Make sure that your blade isn’t dull, and use either neosporin, or baby oil.

Answer #9

When I shave. I can never get the bumps to go way… I mean. . . even when I shave again after a week or so . . The bumps are still their and without even cutting myself some places start to bleed. And I use good shaving cream. Whac can I do.?
