Chrysler, Dodge and plymouth were all under one roof. Plymouth made sportier cars, Dodge made some fast cars, and Chrysler was family/luxury cars. For many years Dodge had a bad name, because the early models were hard starting when it rained. Poor ignition/electrical systems. They had that image for a long time. They were usually the # 3 auto maker in the USA.
