Why can't I have him and friends?

My boyfriend and I have been going out for almost 2 years now and everything is great. Although he dorms at his college, its still close by and I can see him pretty often. However, I don’t dorm and I commute to my college and I feel that its easier to meet people and make friends if you dorm at college like he is. Well the thing is, he’s just about the only person I hang out with lately. My girlfriends all went away to school so I can’t hang out with them obviously. And some of the people that I’ve met at my school that would be fun to hang out with are guys (they know I have a boyfriend). However, my boyfriend is really weird about me hanging out with any guy pretty much lol. I’m not sure what to do. One one aspect, I understand, I try to think about if he was hanging out with other girls but I think id have to understand because I trust him completely. However, the last time I hung out with a guy he thought it was really shady and we got into one of our only fights over it. I feel like its easier for me to make friends with guys than girls but that doesnt work out so well obviously so im just really confused about my situation. I love him to death but I almost feel restricted. I hardly go out, except for work and school and when I see him on weekends. Being in my house is driving me crazy lol. I need to go hang out with different people and make some friends but I feel so restricted. Is it not okey to hang out with guys if its completely on a friend level? I need some help pleasee…
