What are borracho verbs in the Spanish past tense?

For example: (past tense) Morir: murio, murieron Dormir: Durmio, durmieron

I understand that they stem change in the past tense but I don’t know why…would someone explain?

Answer #1

emborracho ex. El hombre se emborracho ayer.
