Is bleach the same thing as clorox?

I’m wanting to try this old at-home remedy for a pregnancy test. I heard that It really works.

Answer #1

Clorox is a brand name of bleach…so yes. Im curious as to what your trying though….most old homemade test are extremely inaccurate. You can buy a pregnancy test at any dollar store for only one dollar and they are accurate.

Answer #2

Well I read on the internet that this girl tried it and the remedy came out positive when did it and then later on she took a pregnancy test from a store and it came out positive too. I’m just worried about waisting my money on a negative test. I’m not sure if it’s too early to take a test yet either.

Answer #3

Clorox is bleach. The home-made pregnancy test involves adding your urine to a cup of bleach…if it becomes fizzy, you’re pregnant. This test is not at all accurate. Please get a real pregnancy test - they’re not expensive.

Answer #4

Like i said, you can get them for a dollar at the dollar store…im sure you have that much change just laying around. How long as it been since you had sex or when was your last period?

Answer #5

My last cycle was back at the end of july and I’ve been having cramps for almost a month now. I also has very slight discharge in one breast when it’s squeezed. Yeah I have a dollar for a test and my mother is taking me to the health department on the first to be checked out.

Answer #6

Why are you waiting until the 1st? If your last period was at the end of july, that would make you around 7-8 weeks pregnant already…you need to find out now. If you have a dollar for a test, then take one. If your pregnant your missing out on important prenatal care for you and the baby…its stupid to not find out and wait.

Answer #7

It’s only $1… and it’s not a waste of money.
