I’m not aware of any birth control that completely stops the occurrence of your period, because having a regular period is necessary to be healthy.

Although you get what looks like a period while taking the sugar pills in the birth control pack, this is actually an artificial period because the pills prevent your body from ovulating. It’s not actually shedding the full lining of the uterus like during a real non-hormonal induced period.

It’s really a personal decision.

Either one is prone to side effects and you’re best choosing the one that works for you, and the purpose you intend it.

Personally, I think to choose a form of birth control for the soul purpose of stopping your period just seems wrong - messing with your body like that can never be a good thing. I would prefer my own daughter use a method that keeps her as near normal as possible.

My wife loves yaz but birth control works differently on different people.
