Birth Control Overdose
My little sister just got rushed to the hospital. She took a full month of birth control pills. Can she die?
She is certainly in my prayers right now.
It is highly unlikely that an overdose of this nature would be life-threatening, though it is suggested that if it happens, you should call any helpline that you can which deals with poisoning and other such topics. Typically an overdose of this nature will result in further vaginal bleeding, nausea, vomiting, bad headaches, cramps, illness and other such things. Death is highly unlikely, but the impacts on the person’s health should by no means be disregarded.
In this case, I would say with great confidence that she will not die, but she will be very ill. Find out why she took so many of the pills and see if you can work on a plan to prevent this from ever happening again.
How old is she?
As yummeh said, birth control overdoses are not commonly life threatening and she’ll probably be given an activated charcoal or stomach pump.
I wouldn’t worry too much…she may not feel well for a little while, but there isn’t usually any serious complications from birth control.
