Will I be a loser if I bike to work?

Would it make me a complete loser to ride my bike to my job (that I have yet to get)? I wasn’t going to get a job until I got a car, but now I have to get a job to help get a car…I’m 16, not too crazy about biking, but I’m just wondering people’s opinions on biking to work in high school.

Answer #1

I think it makes you a winner actually. Not only do you get a good workout everyday, and save money on a car so you can save up for college, you are helping the envirionment. Yes, you will come across people that are jealous that they can’t do the same and they may say something…but who cares?

Answer #2

Many of my college friends still don’t have cars and bike to work. I think it’s a great idea, not having a car shouldn’t stop you from getting a job, plus it’s good exercise.

Answer #3

its fine actualy its kinda mature that your willing to get a job so no its not but some advice on it is not to wheir your normal cloths then get changed at work =]

Answer #4

Riding a bike makes you a WINNER. I am 54 years old, I can get around easier riding a bike than taking public transportation. I am in good shape. You should see my calves and thighs. nuttin but muscle. A car may be more convenient, but it is bad for the environment. GO AHEAD, GET YOURSELF THAT BIKE AND PEDDLE your AZZ OFF…YOU ARE A WINNER…you might want to get yourself a trek or something else of good value. make sure you get 1 with aluminum framing and rims. preferably alloy aliminum. Great bikes…GOOD LUCK.

Answer #5

Winner. My husband is now 40. Most of his friends are beginning to put on weight big-time. My husband cycles to work every day and is actually becoming slimmer! He eats what he likes and, so long as he keeps up the cycling, he still looks good. Add the environmental and money-saving points to that, and you will be a sure winner.

Answer #6

okay, thanks. this question was sort of a joke, but thanks for the inspiring answers. makes me feel pretty good about myself :)

Answer #7

It’s okay as long as you are not going to bike to prom.

Answer #8

Save fossil fuels…ride or walk to work. No loosers, just winners

Answer #9

no, you’re a loser if a parent DRIVES you to work. If that’s the only way to get to work by yourself, so be it.
