My mother has these large puss bumps and she thinks its a boil. But what else can they be

an std like genitle warts or herpes its likley that there NOT boils, because bils arnt filled with puss its most likley an std of some kind so she needs to see a doctor as soon as possible

their most likely hair bumps. I’ve gotten these before also. hair either grows and spouts rite out of them or hair is under them. kinda like acne they have puss in them, I alwyas pop them it hurts but it get them away.

Have your mother look up a condition known as Hidradenitis Suppurativa. Lots of info on it at www.hs-usa.org Her condition sounds a lot like this. People who tend to get boil like problems in the groin area, underarm area are often misdiagnosed. I have it and have gotten it under control but it took a long time. Oh and it is not contagious and probably not an STD. Hope this helps
