YES always be yourself. IF you are friendly with everyone, you will be the most popular of all. True popularilty is not discriminating based on your social status. More people will like you when you are friendly and approacble from everyone. Of course if pp are mean or trouble makers you don’t need to be friendly with them. And yes sports will make you lots of friends. Just get into one you really enjoy.
Be more outgoing and friendly, people will want to be around you more.
