Should we get married before we move?

Should we get married before we move or after? Me and my fiance are planning on moving to his hometown, which is 4 hours away from where we currently live. We have no plans currently for the wedding and the date. Our lease is up in March of this year. We are currently looking for houses in his hometown to either rent or buy. Should we wait til we are settled to get married, or get married in my hometown, before we move?

Answer #1

I would consider AFTER you get married, marriage should always be the first step in anything, everyone always says sex before marriage, kids before marriage, moving together before marriage, but superfresh thinks not, I hope you figure it out, good luck! :]

Answer #2

It’s really your decision. Everyone’s opinion will vary. I’m kind of stuck on both. Sometimes I think that I should live with someone before I marry them, so that there is nothing unexpected when I DO get married, and sometimes I think moving in before you get married kind of takes away some of the fun of getting married.

Answer #3

I think you should do whatever is convenient for you! If you think you can plan a wedding and get married in the next 2 months before you buy a house, do it! That might not fit into your schedule right now, so if you want to buy the house fist, and then have more time to plan your wedding, that’s is good too! Do what you think you can handle because you want your wedding to be special, enjoyable and fun, not rushed and stressed! Good luck!
