Baking pizza?

Dont laugh.. I’ve never made pizza before. On the box it says preheat 400 degrees.. Do I put the pizza in when it’s preheating or do I wait until its done preheating? Please give staight answer, thx

Answer #1

You can put it while it’s preheating, but it will take a little longer. The baking time on the box is assuming your oven is already at the right temperature. Since it takes about 10 minutes to heat up, putting it in without preheating is going to mess with the timing.

Answer #2

The box times are based on you putting the pizza in after the oven is up to temperature. Lots of people put the pizza in when they turn on the oven then just watch it until it is done. This will save a little time though the crust won’t come out as crisp.

Answer #3

hun. you have to wait till it’s preheated. and make sure you grease the pan/tin foil your putting it on, you dont want it to stick. lol

Answer #4

its safest to wait until the oven is finished preheating. it might be a good idea to get a seperate thermometer to keep in the oven in case the thermostat is off.

Answer #5

what until its done unless your going to watch it very closely or it might burn. :)

loves you!!!

Answer #6

Wait till your oven is preheated hun
