whatever you buy for him, just remember its the thought that counts!

Try taking him out with a group of your mutual friends or some of yours and his. Pick a place that would be fun for a groups such as paintballing. I recently went and the experience is incredibly fun. Go to the group activity around noon or early afternoon and have a box of pizzas for everyone. And later on you for dinner you can go out with just the two of you to a restaurant and talk about the fun filled day you had. As for the gift, think of things he needs or accessories he would appreciate.
