what do i do, my aunts dog is going to have her puppies anytime now do i have to tie off the cord for the puppies when they are born?

Answer #1

Make sure she has a comfortable place to have them, make a pad of old towels or sheets for her. Do not touch the puppies, the mama dog does everything including cleaning them when they come out.

its a daschund ( mini)

Answer #5

As far as I know, dogs do not have cords that you need to cut. Leave the dog alone as far as possible.

Just check up on her every now and then and if it her first time having puppies, make sure that you arranged with the vet to take her in case anything goes wrong.
