Do you say "aunt" or "ant"?

I’ve always preferred aunt over ant (aunt), because you don’t have an ant for an aunt.

I say Ant, but my friend (whose originally from Northern Wisconsin says Aunt) soooo…. I’m starting to get in the habit of saying Aunt.

I dunno’ about that. I grew up in Michigan where everyone said “ant” but in Texas most locals say “awnt.” There may be places where awnt is affected but around here it is the norm and only transplants like me say ant.

I did say around here, lol … I know many people from other areas who pronounce it differently and it’s normal … just not here.

I honestly just call most of my aunt and uncles by there first name, but when i type it or say there names to someone else i include aunt and uncle

Depends where people live. I’m in Australia so we say “aunt” like it’s spelt :)

Where I live in Texas, everybody says it like ant. I’m not sure which part of Texas you live in, it’s a pretty big state.
