Is there any artist that hasn't sold out?

I mean look at avril lavigne. her songs had meaning until what the hell came on. and they all ( not all but u get the point) dye their hair blonde. all have pics of them half naked(not all but u get it)and well they sell out. any artist that doesnt do this?

I dont recall Avril Lavigne ever being a serious artist with meaningful songs…There are TONS of bands and artist who haven’t sold out, your not going to find them on the radio though. Some that i enjoy include: Mindless Self Indulgence, Sublime, Future Leaders of the World, Charlotte Sometimes, A Fine Frenzy, Duffy…

There is so much music out there that the majority of musicians are ones who haven’t sold out. And to assume that because an artist is highly regarded or has fame has “sold out” isn’t a good idea. They just were lucky or skilled enough to be successful.
