How do I turn off my AOL Idle message?

How do I turn off my AOL Idle message, it drives me crazy, sometimes it freezes everything up.

you have to go to edit preferences. it will say idle message on the side. but it all depends on what type of aim you have. I have an older version cause I don’t like the newer ones. but yeah.
