Any Army wives move to Korea unaccompanied?

Has anyone else gone to Korea unaccompanied? Did you like it? would you reccomend doing it? My husband is supposed to go to Korea 2 years unaccompanied. I have a 2 yr old child and would have to pay my own way and get there myself. We haven’t been able to live together in almost a year now due to training and now they are going to send him to Korea for 2 years. We really want to go, and know it would be hard, but we would be able to see each other.

My husband is stationed in Korea and I have a two year old daughter. He has just finished putting his paperwork in and we should be getting approved for housing in about two weeks. I’ve lived in Korea before and the apartments are beautiful … I also think a family should be together if they can. I do recommend meeting people when you get there otherwise it can get pretty lonely …

I am an Army Wife myself, I haven’t been to Korea, but if you haven’t been able to see your husband that much as it is because of training, I would say go for it. I thnk it would be an experience of a life time, not many people can say they have been to Korea, so I would do it if the chance came for me! I know it’s different living over there, but I think you would do just fine! Where are you stationed now?!?
